OAKMONT APPOINTS NEW BOROUGH MANAGER

During the Council's Regular Monthly Meeting of Monday, October, 12, 2009, Oakmont Borough Council named Bruce C. Jamison to the position of Oakmont Borough Manager and Ex-Officio Borough Secretary. Prior to signing on with Oakmont, Mr. Jamison served as Municipal Manager in White Oak Borough and Wilkins Township. "I am happy with this selection," said Council Member Richard Allen Williams after reading Mr. Jamison’s appointment resolution.

Mr. Jamison, a graduate of St. Vincent College in Latrobe, has also worked with local governments as CEO of his own municipal consulting firm, as a non-profit finance director, and as a Peer Consultant for the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.

In addition to his financial skills, Mr. Jamison brings to Oakmont his experiences in economic development, human resources management and grant writing. Last night, Oakmont Borough Council members and meeting attendees welcomed Mr. Jamison to the community. Mr. Jamison thanked Council Members for the appointment and said he was looking forward to starting work on many of the borough’s current projects. His tenure with Oakmont begins on October 14, 2009.
